In 2007, a group of interested Rosemount residents, among them Jack Warweg, Bud Curley and Ed McMenomy, Sr., came together to share their vision of honoring the 34th Infantry Red Bull Division by building a meaningful memorial in Rosemount, MN along the Koch Trail in Central Park.
Over the ensuing years, the City of Rosemount has approved the use a segment of the Trail to build the Red Bull Memorial which we consider as Phase 1; a Phase 2 is envisioned with the addition of 10 additional memorials celebrating The United States of America.
Imagine walking along the nearly mile long paved trail, encountering paths leading into each memorial, each memorials design will be laid out as a rest & reflection area separated by landscaping from the next memorial further down the trail. Each rest & reflection area will be a peaceful, thoughtful and a beautifully contemplative place.
Additionally, lining both edges of the trail will be individually engraved Granite Walkway Memorials™ made available to veterans and families of veterans, already approximately 250 are in-place.
Freedom Walk of America™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, contributions are welcomed. For Phase 1, we need to raise approximately $250,000.
